Pipes and fixtures: the water pipes are the basic components of plumbing systems. A plumber is responsible for making a network of pipes to make sure the water flows through the water taps properly. All the pipes are not of the same size and shape therefore they need to be fixed and fitted together to form a network. The fittings of the pipes are of various kinds and are used depending upon the material from which the pipe is made.
Valves and assemblies: the valves are like connecting points and joints of the piping systems. These enable the water to stop for a split second at one point and then change its direction. The valves make sure that the water does not burst out instantly wherever there is some space left between fixtures of the pipes.
Sealants: there are different kinds of pipe joints. Among the most common ones are the threaded ones. With the help of threaded pipes, joining two pipes together becomes easier. The sealants are formed when the pipes are twisted around each other. Another way of connecting two pipes together is by application of an outer sealant which is usually a sealing tape made from thread or pipe dope. These are the two basic sealing components all plumbers have.
A good plumber always keeps his important components in his work bag or work truck all the time. The screw drivers, the nuts, bolts, screws and all other tools are equipment are also kept in a small pouch to make they can be used whenever there is a need.
