London Plumbers can guide you for the basic installation process of cold water tank. Below is the process, you can do it on your own.
Place the new tank in position and ensure that it sits firmly on its base. Once you are happy with its position, you can set about connecting the pipes and fittings. In order to numerous pipes to pass into and out of it, the tank will require holes to be drilled on both sides and in the appropriate places. Hence, a whole saw would be perfect in this case.
Plumbers guide for distribution pipes – Drill two more holes in the sides of the tank just about two inches from its base, to have room for the outlet pipes to the warm water cylinder and the cold water taps. The 22mm exit pipes are joined to the tank by using tank connectors, glide a plastic washer above the pipe of every connector and passes through the outlet from the inside of the tank. Tighten the nut firmly while holding the connector inside the tank to stop it turning. This is now an ideal opportunity to add a great valve to each outlet to easily isolate the cold water storage cistern in the future.
Connect the new tank to the plumbing system –
Make sure the rising main lines are up squarely with the tap connector which will be attached to the float valve. Also make sure the cold water valves and warm water cylinder in line with their individual gate control device at the bottom of the reservoir. Connect the two together using compression fittings if satisfied. Secure the pipe work at the bottom using plastic clips. Adjust the vent pipe from the hot water cylinder so that it can pass through the top of the new cold water tank. One thing you need to remember that you should not link the connections near a polythene storage as heat will damage the tank heavily.
